She looked at me as she asked that question, two round tears forming in the corners of her eyes.
I had just finished telling her about the war that is raging inside of her little body--that she has some kind of Bad Guy Germs and her White Blood Cell Good Guys are busy powing them. Which is why she feels yucky and has a fever.
The little story about The White Blood Cell Good Guys Powing The Bad Guy Germs brings no end of comfort to Ryan when he's sick. He can imagine his strong body kicking some Bad Guy Germ Butt. He has never doubted the outcome of the battle, not once.
So Morgan's question threw me for a loop. She was so very worried, poor little thing. Sigh. My kids ask hard questions! I suppose it's commensurate with how smart they are.
Naturally, I reassured her that the Bad Guys would lose the battle, and here she is, already up and about, playing with her stuffed doggies and talking talking talking. Here's hoping we don't have to tell that story again any time soon!
